Katherine Lee is a resourceful collaborator, strategist, analyst and digital project manager with a focus on concept, proposal, funding and organizational development; team management, operations, and stakeholder engagement. She has expertise in the media arts, including educational projects with First Nations content and partnership focus, teaching, capacity development and planning for the cultural sector.
She collaborates with art, design, technology, educational, non-profit and social change organizations, including New Forms Media Society, Agentic Digital Media, APTN, and Vanilla Five Creative, and teaches courses in Project Management for designers, and Financing and Business Management for filmmakers.
Katherine is a creative team leader whose experience in production and as a funding administrator, as a photographer, broadcaster, musician and instructor, equip her with a unique bridge between ideas, implementation, and business.

Katherine earned her Honours BFA in Photography from the University of Manitoba, and her Certificate with Distinction in Communication Design Essentials from Emily Carr University of Art and Design and the British Columbia Institute of Technology. She has performed professionally as a musician and sound artist. She lends her expertise to panels, conferences and workshops. Katherine was an Associate Producer Intern and Production Assistant with CBC Radio from 1992-1994. After completing the Western Front Multimedia Program from 1994-1995, she became a Producer and Sound Designer for DNA Media from 1995-1999. From 1999-2000, at Columbus Group Communications (later acquired by TELUS) she managed web and enterprise projects for some of the world's best-known brands. While operating her own consultancy from 2001-2008, she was the Executive Co-director for the New Forms Festival (2003-2005), and the Administrator and Development Coordinator for VIVO (2005-2008). From 2008 to 2017, she has been an Investment/Development Analyst/Coordinator for Telefilm Canada and the CMFPA, assisting producers and evaluating applications to programs including the Telefilm Canada New Media Fund, the Telefilm Feature Film Fund, the Telefilm Featuring Aboriginal Stories Fund, the CMF English Development Envelope, and the CMF Experimental Stream Development and Marketing Programs.
